Geraldine Timlin is a visual artist who lives and works in Co Donegal, Ireland. Her work explores Deep Ecology and our connection to the natural world. 

 

She has designed and facilitated workshops for a number of charities and arts organisatons including The Playhouse, Derry,  Artlink, Buncrana; The Pushkin Prizes Trust, Newtownstewart; and Donegal VEC. Her work has been exhibited  with the Royal Ulster Academy, Belfast; Regional Cultural Centre, Donegal; North 55; and throughout Ireland. In 2013 she won the Derek Hill Foundation Award at the Glebe Gallery, Co Donegal and in 2010 was awarded the Wright Perpetual Award for Achievement on the University of Ulster ABA Fine and Applied Arts Degree. She currently works part time in Special Education in Buncrana, Co Donegal delivering creative workshops and supporting individuals with Special Needs. Her most recent research is investigating methods of incorporating Braille into Visual Arts for Blind and Visually Impaired people.

Her work is held in the collection of the OPW Ireland, and privately in Spain, England, Northern Ireland and Italy.
